PEAK.DMS

Depot Management for Buses, Trams, and Trains

Maximum Availability For Your Entire Fleet

With PEAK.DMS, you can efficiently and digitally manage and monitor the maintenance, refueling, and charging processes of your fleet – whether buses, trams, or trains. This ensures your vehicles are always ready for operation and optimally prepared for service. PEAK.DMS guarantees smooth processes and maximum availability of your entire fleet, regardless of vehicle type.

The Advantages

AI-powered, high-performance dispatching in seconds

ITCS, depot and charging management, duty scheduling – all from a single source

Full transparency of the entire fleet status

Transparency across all areas of the depot

Real-time data availability

Integrated quality management

Manufacturer and hardware independence

Flexible, future-proof software architecture

Integration of buses, trams, and zero-emission fleets, as well as any number of depots

Many Tasks. Easily Solved.

The modular design of PEAK.DMS allows for flexible, customized adaptation to project-specific requirements. Modules can be used individually or in combination—even on a step-by-step basis, depending on your needs.

Vehicle tracking and monitoring

Vehicles are automatically detected when entering and exiting, and their location within the depot is displayed. Delays are reported as alerts. Dispatchers and workshop staff can view all vehicle locations in the system – forming the basis for their work.

Drivers are assigned a parking space upon entry — convenient for refueling, maintenance, or their next trip. This saves time and eliminates the need for maneuvering.
For rail vehicles: Routes are set automatically via the connection to the train and point control systems. Vehicles proceed directly to the destination track without any delay.

Workshop and service tasks are automatically scheduled, assigned to service stations, and all work is documented.

Drivers receive up-to-date information on their duties, vehicle location, and condition, while dispatchers are informed about departures and exits.

Historical operational data is collected, visually analyzed, and used for process optimization..

Vehicles are optimally positioned for upcoming rotations. In case of breakdowns, immediate rescheduling and fault reporting take place.

Your e-bus fleet – seamlessly integrated

The introduction of e-buses brings new requirements for charging and energy management. Our solution intelligently manages all charging processes, optimizes energy distribution, and ensures your e-buses are always ready for operation on time. You maintain full visibility of battery levels, charging times, and energy consumption – and can expand your fleet flexibly and effortlessly.

Vehicle monitoring during operation

The DMS receives data on your vehicles’ condition from the ITCS, CAD system, or directly via data loggers from the bus. This allows online monitoring of parameters such as battery capacity, mileage, and energy consumption.

Charging processes are prioritized based on operational needs to prevent overloading of transformers and the grid connection. The state of charge is continuously monitored and aligned with the energy requirements of the next rotation. Vehicles with sufficient charge are switched to maintenance charging. If energy needs are insufficient, priorities are adjusted or other vehicles are deployed.

For forecasting range, energy consumption, and demand, the DMS uses the AI-based optimization algorithm Deep Qualicision.

Upon depot entry, the DMS determines the parking space with the appropriate charging station—based on the battery’s state of charge and the next rotation. If no charging is required, the vehicle is assigned a parking space without infrastructure.

The preconditioning of vehicles for the next rotation is carried out automatically and in good time before it begins. This ensures all trips start on schedule and the batteries are treated gently.

The Automated Bus Depot: From Vision to Reality

The automated bus depot turns a vision of the future into everyday reality: buses maneuver driverless throughout the depot, are automatically charged, washed, and maintained, and are ready in time for their next route. With our PEAK.DMS and the marshalling system from our partner Unikie, driverless operation within the depot is now possible.

The Advantages

Reduced labor costs: Shunting operations run driverless and around the clock

Greater efficiency: Optimized depot processes and charging times for electric bus fleets

No damage from maneuvering: Automated driving maneuvers prevent collisions and scratches

Greater safety in the depot: Intelligent evacuation of vehicles in the event of a fire or malfunction
