Berlin, December 18, 2024 – OVAG Oberbergische Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH has commissioned PSI Transcom GmbH with the implementation of the PSItraffic/DMS depot management system for the Gummersbach depot, which is equipped with around 80 vehicles. The aim is to optimize and partially automate the operational processes in the depot and to document them comprehensively.

PSItraffic/DMS will take over central functions, including the recording of vehicle parking spaces, automatic scheduling and the monitoring of service, supply and workshop processes. In addition, all processes will be made transparent through comprehensive documentation and reporting functions. Vehicle locations are recorded using both the DMS and employees’ mobile devices. This enables precise location logging of the buses on the depot premises at all times.

The main objectives of the project are the optimization of operational processes, efficient vehicle deployment and better networking of the existing system landscape as well as preparation for the deployment planning and charging management of emission-free buses. The implementation of the depot management system is being funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport through the federal funding program “Model projects to strengthen public transport”.

OVAG operates around 200 buses on over 50 bus routes throughout the Oberberg district. The company transports more than 16 million passengers per year and serves an area of around 1,200 square kilometers.
